Once settled in your room, full afternoon tea will be served in the Langdale Bar and Lounge with its glorious views over the lake. Enjoy dinner at your leisure, served in our Windermere Restaurant.
Christmas Eve – Friday 24th December 2010
After a Lakeland breakfast, the day is yours to take a stroll or do any last minute shopping. Full afternoon tea will be served, accompanied by several games of “Bingo”. At 5pm the ‘little ones’ will have the chance to join “Sam” the dog in some activities, followed by a high tea. Your host, Nevil Jeffery, and his team will then welcome you this evening to a Champagne and canapé reception with Carol Singers, followed by a 5-course gourmet dinner in our themed Lake Suite. For those attending Midnight Mass, mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies will be served upon your return.
Christmas Day – Saturday 25th December 2010
Enjoy a Lakeland Bucks Fizz Breakfast, where all children receive a special visit and Santa sack – filled with treats! The Traditional Christmas Luncheon – with all the trimmings – will follow, full of seasonal cheer! Relax for the rest of the day, enjoying the television broadcast of the Queen’s Speech to the accompaniment of Christmas cake and tea. At 7.30 pm our vibrant “Las Vegas” Casino Night for all ages commences, with prizes to be won and a seafood buffet taking centre stage – including one half-bottle of house wine pp.
Boxing Day – Sunday 26th December 2010
Start the day in true Cumbrian tradition with a full English breakfast. Today is for you either to discover, or revisit, the delights that the glorious Lake District has to offer OR take part in one of our house quizzes! This evening, Champagne and canapés are served prior to our formal 6-course Gala Dinner, followed by a cabaret act and resident DJ playing into the ‘wee’ hours.
