Thursday 23rd December 2010
You will be greeted with a warm glass of mulled wine and a selection of cakes and scones. Once you have settled into your Christmas surroundings, join Andy and the team for a Whisky Tasting in our new bar. This evening Head Chef, Marc Sanders, and his brigade will prepare you a four course candlelit dinner with sounds of the Lakeland Hand Bell Ringers followed by various parlour games.
Christmas Eve – Friday 24th December 2010
Relax, breakfast is served until 10.30am this morning. This afternoon Head Chef, Marc Sanders, will be offering the opportunity for you to help him prepare some of our most popular dishes and see how some of the dishes are smoked in our smoke house, all complemented by a selection of local ales! This evening enjoy a champagne and canapé drinks reception followed by a four-course candle-lit dinner where you will be joined by Carol Singers. Later this evening we will be holding our “Nearest the Pin” Golf Competition.
Christmas Day - Saturday 25th December 2010
A very Merry Christmas to you all! Enjoy a glass of Bucks Fizz followed by a traditional Lakeland Breakfast. At 10.00am you are invited to join one of your hosts on a short walk around the Gilpin Woods at the rear of the hotel. Following your festive lunch is the chance to relax and unwind in front of a roaring fire, whilst listening to the Queen’s Speech with Christmas cake for those who are still a little peckish. Later on we will be holding our Christmas Quiz with a light buffet supper.
Boxing Day – Sunday 26th December 2010
Brunch is served until 11.30am. The day is then yours to enjoy. For the energetic ones amongst us, explore the 72 acres of woodland to the rear the hotel and complete our Woodland Treasure Hunt. This evening join us for your four course candlelit dinner and bottle of wine per couple with our compliments. Then participate in our ‘Night at the Races’.

The final part of your Christmas break is a traditional Lakeland Breakfast, before we wish you a fond farewell and all the best for the New Year.
