The Famous Wild Boar restaurant possesses character in abundance; oak beamed and cosy by candlelight, it delivers a delectable hearty and modern English menu, championing a whole host of local produce and seasonal ingredients and complimented by an extensive wine list. Embracing a passion for tradition and excellence the head Chef, Marc Sanders, makes full use of Lakeland’s natural larder when selecting produce for the regularly changing menu.

The hotel itself is legendary, historically for being close to the site where Sir Richard Gilpin is said to have slain the last wild boar! And more recently for its exquisite dining experience.
