Storrs Hall and the grounds
Storrs Hall lodges are set in the magnificent landscaped,
wooded grounds of Storrs
Hall, an extraordinary Georgian mansion hotel. Amongst all the Hotels in the Lake District, Storrs
Hall is unquestionably one of the most spectacular. It is surrounded
by the natural beauty of the Lake District. The Hotel, a grade
ll Georgian Mansion, offers a most idyllic setting. Storrs Hall,
with its National Trust-owned folly the "Temple", has
for years been a landmark to sigh over. Sitting in an unrivalled
position, this lakeland Hotel enjoys views of Lake Windermere that
seem endless.
The
Restaurant at Storrs Hall (AA 2 Rosettes)
The restaurant at Storrs Hall is tastefully decorated
with fine antiques and classical furniture and has a breath taking
view of Lake Windermere. There is an extensive menu which takes
full advantage of superb local produce: venison from the Holker
forest, game from neighbouring estates, splendid lamb from the Lakeland
fells and fresh seafood from Whitehaven. All this is delightfully
complimented with a selection of the finest cheeses, many of which
are produced locally.
